Welcome to Lightbearer’s Library—a quiet sanctuary for highly sensitive men who feel invisible and alienated from the modern world.
Many gentle men have spent their lives hiding their tenderness, grief, and emotional truths. Some learned early that kindness was mocked, sensitivity was a 'weakness', curiosity was unwelcome, and being emotionally open was unsafe.
This channel exists to remind those men: you are not weak, broken, un-manly or too much.
Through slow, reflective journal-style conversations, I explore the inner world of Highly Sensitive People (HSPs), through the lens of my own life as an INFP HSP living with my INFJ HSP husband for 11 years.
This is not a space for judgment, ideology, or performance. It is a refuge where you can take off the mask and be seen for the resilient, kind, intelligent, intuitive and creative man you are.

I've been thinking about something I hear so often from sensitive men: the feeling of being surrounded by people, yet somehow still feeling invisible.
Not invisible because nobody knows your name or nobody appreciates what you do. But invisible in a deeper way — like the parts of you that matter most are still waiting for someone to notice. The thoughts you carry. The meaning you find in ordinary moments. The inner world that is so difficult to explain to someone who doesn't experience life in the same way.
If you're an INFJ, INFP, or highly sensitive man (HSP), I wonder if you know this feeling: being someone who can see others deeply, who can listen and understand, but longing for the experience of having someone look back and say, “I see you.”
In this journal entry, I reflect on what it means to be witnessed — and why being truly seen by another person can help us find our way back to parts of ourselves we cannot always access alone. That quiet moment of recognition when someone understands something about us and we think, “Oh... there I am.
In this journal entry, I gently explore: • The strange loneliness of feeling invisible while surrounded by others • Why being witnessed can help us feel more real and understood • The quiet relief of recognizing yourself when someone truly sees you
✨ I'd love to hear from you. Have you ever had a moment where someone truly saw you and you thought, “There I am”?
And if words feel like too much today, a simple 🕯️ is enough to let me know you were here.
🍂 A Quiet Continuation If this reflection resonates, you may find a familiar thread in this next journal entry about the quiet ways sensitive men learn to lose connection with themselves: "When a highly sensitive man betrays himself... " (https://youtu.be/8XkcvOCOAV0)

Welcome to Lightbearer’s Library — a quiet place for highly sensitive men who feel deeply, notice deeply, and wonder why it has sometimes felt difficult to simply be themselves.
The Library exists to help men reconnect with the parts of themselves they may have had to set aside. Things like their curiosity, creativity, intuition, sensitivity, and the qualities that make them who they are.
Through reflective video journal entries, I explore sensitivity, masking, childhood experiences, belonging, and what it means to come home to yourself.
I share from my own life as an INFP HSP, and from what I’ve learned through life with my INFJ HSP husband and this community.
If you’ve ever felt unseen, misunderstood, or like you had to make yourself smaller to fit into the world, you’re welcome here.
I invite you to join the Library Men’s Group if you’d like a space to be yourself in the company of other men who understand.
Stay for a while. Kate Harmony 🌺

Hello, dear soul, and welcome to the Light Bears Library. I wonder if you've ever felt like you wear an invisibility cloak everywhere you go. I've heard that from men in the comments before. And in my last video, we talked about single men, and I really, you know, read all your stories about feeling invisible. And I know that this might be something that we all experience as people that are, you know, slightly, slightly out of step with with the norm. And we can be surrounded by people, you know, maybe we live in a house with others, um, maybe we go to work and we have family that we visit, but we never feel truly seen, truly appreciated for who we are. And that can feel invisible and like we we don't really exist. So I think what we're what we're longing for is someone to actually see us, see who we are inside. And it's not always on us to be authentic, to let our mask down to it's like, yes, we need to do that in order to be seen. But you know, we need we need an an other. What I'm saying is like, you know, we need the other to see us. Um, we need someone else who can be present and to be curious about us and to ask us questions that are meaningful to us. And that, you know, I think that, you know, we put a lot of pressure on ourselves sometimes to put ourselves out there or to um try and find the right people. And I think that's that's that's good. But it's also well, not the right people. We need to find the right people, the people who will really see us. And um we had the the men's group last night, and it was really, really wonderful. We had such a such a wonderful time talking about personality type and psychology and woundedness and just seeing seeing one another. And I I brought this quote. Well, my husband, right? He showed he shared this quote. He's like, I think you should, this is something you should talk about. But um, this is from Jessica Benjamin in her Bounds of Love book. I haven't read the book. This was on a podcast and he was quoting it. But um, he's she says that the witness we seek is the one who makes everything real. The root of the self is almost always found through another person. When somebody else sees us, we have the experience of ah, there I am. So I think there's this idea of we become real in the presence of someone who sees us. So I I think that's wonderful because it's something that I've felt intuitively my whole life. Is that I feel most myself when I'm with when I've had friends, girlfriends in my life who were similar to me, perhaps the same, they were similar personality, like especially INFP or ENFP, because I'm an INFP. So those kinds of personality types make me feel most like oh, like I can breathe. I'm like, oh, they're like me. That's great. Um and that's why I think personality type is so important, because then we can really it helps us to find the people that at least get close to people who can can see us. And because for me, it's like meaning is really important. Like I just find meaning in everything, you know, somebody says something or I hear something or a song or uh I witness something in in the in the shopping in the mall, well, they don't go to the mall, but um in the in the grocery store, and it's just like so full of meaning, it's like I just can't help it, you know. But to a different personality type, it's like uh you know, no, that's not like they don't they don't get it. So anyway, I think it's important to kind of understand about personality type because we're not gonna connect with every personality type. So especially if you're an INFP or an INFJ or perhaps an INTJ, it's like there's just unique things about us. Um and I think that um, yeah, this so this idea of feeling like I needed, I need a mirror. It's almost like other people are our mirrors. They they show us parts of ourselves that we can't see, you know, we can't see without them. And that's always been really, really valuable to me. And over the last number of years, not having friends, um, I deleted social media like over 10 years ago, and that was the end of having friends, because it's like if you're not on social media, you don't exist. Excellent, excellent. So um it's one of those things that um I lost my train of thought. Sorry. But when we have those people in our lives, we can really feel seen, and we that's what I was saying. Okay, so we can't see the things that on our own without them, and this idea of we become real in the presence of someone, and that the root of ourself is in another. So when we when I talked about in the last video about, you know, we've got to look inward and do our work and and and you know, go watch that video, I'll leave it here for you. But you know, that's important, but it's also important to to have others and to be in isolation, to live a life of of not not connecting with other people, we end up doing ourselves a disservice um in the end. And we can say, Oh, I don't need other people, and we can be angry and and you know, or maybe not even angry, but just kind of um resigned, resigned to the fact that oh well, like I guess I'll just be alone. And I have a lot of compassion for that because that's where I was at, but I I felt like I was dying inside because I I didn't have that connection to other. And of course, I have my husband of you know 11 years, and it's like I'm so grateful every day for him, and we do a lot of that mirroring together. We have been on a path of healing um together by mirroring to one another. But I think I think we need more than just one person. And to me, I was dying, and that's why I started this channel, Light Bears Library, because I needed to to express stuff. Um, as an introvert, I was like, I'm dying because I'm too introverted. Like, I need to have somewhere to extrovert because we've worked for ourselves for over a decade, so we it's Ray and I at home together most of the time. And so that extroverting is necessary for us as introverts, and the sharing process of sharing our thoughts, our feelings, our intuitions with another, and having them go, Wow, that's fascinating, that's interesting. This is what I'm thinking or feeling back, and to have that dialogue is so important. And so starting this channel was just a way of like, I don't know how to meet people and where I'm living, and I don't really want to. I don't like I don't it was you know, I was in a place of not really wanting to leave the house. I still don't leave the house most days. Um, but now having this channel and connecting with you, I feel more seen and there's a mirror and reflection happening in the comments. And so me showing up and being as real and as authentic, whatever that means, you know, like um as I possibly can, and having you share your stories and your thoughts and feelings with me has been really, really life-giving and nourishing to my soul, like being seen by others, and um, and so that's what I think is happening in these men's groups. We've we've I've hosted six of them so far, and it's been so beautiful to watch. I I received some some comments back from from men about, you know, it's like yes, you're they're turning up to strangers in a lot of times. There's there's more and more people that are returning to different ones, so people are getting to to know bits and pieces of one another, and that's really cool too. Um but if you're coming for the first time, it's like showing up to strangers. Yes, there's a bit of anxiety, a bit of like, oh, nervousness, and a bit of like, how am I gonna be seen? Or or how do I, you know, um, and there's this beautiful thing he was saying about how, but it's it they feel these these men feel familiar in some way. And I think that's the beauty of of these faces that are are built for for men who resonate with my videos, basically. Could be highly sensitive, could be introverted, could be all the things, but just just that there's a sense of of familiarity. And so while we may not know that person, it's like oh, something in my soul feels feels you, and we we talk about yeah, just all sorts of wonderful things, and there's something that I think comes alive in us when we are witnessed in our sharing of something that's going on for us that's difficult, maybe, or um, you know, the feeling of just being invisible while having people around you, and then turning up to this group of, you know, strangers and feeling feeling seen and feeling witnessed. It's it's such a dichotomy of like, you know, we can be with family who we know and they know us and feel so alone and invisible, and show up to a group of strangers and feel known and seen. It's like, what? So that's been really um just so so special. And I'm I'm loving, loving hosting these these weekly men's groups. So um, if you'd like to join us, then um the links are all below. But that's been really, really special. And um I've I've also starting, I'm gonna start in August a men's sanctuary. So it's gonna be like um a four-week kind of container. We could think about it as like a a sanctuary, a four-week journey. Wow, that makes it sound, that makes it sound maybe grander than it is, but just meeting with the same men for four weeks so that there can be a building of trust, a building of continuity that we show up, you know, week after week and kind of continue on with the same similar conversation and getting to know one another so that we can really feel even more witnessed and seen and and maybe a bit could be for some feel a bit safer and a bit um, yeah, just more held with with the same the same eight men. So if you're interested in in that, that will also be in the links below. And I would love to have you join. It's it's just yeah, I think there's so much life to be had when we allow ourselves to see others clearly and for them to see us. Because so often we can see others clearly and you know, and we show up for them in that way, but there's not a lot of people that like will show up for us in that way. And I know that's been my experience in life is just this, you know, like some of my friends in the past have said, Oh, you're my conscience, or you're my like, you know, like I'm um because I'm seeing them, and I'm like, that's probably not the best decision to make, you know, like or whatever, right? And it's so yeah, but just not a lot of people to to see, to see me be at me back. So if you're in that, if you're in that space of feeling invisible, feeling like there's no one to witness you and see you, I see you, I know what that's like, and it's deeply painful and lonely, and it can feel like something inside of you is dying. And so I know what that's like, and um my heart goes out to you. So yeah, I would love to hear from you in the comments if you have ever experienced this feeling of being witnessed or of being having a mirror or being like that you can go, oh, there I am. I can see me because another sees me. And I would love to hear your stories about that. Um, or just any thoughts and feelings that this this brought up for you. Um, it's it's always just such a I feel so honored and blessed to to have you share in in the comments. I read every single one, and I'm I'm sorry that I can't reply to every single person because I'm just like, yeah, it's just there's a lot of comments coming in, and I'm so grateful and blessed. And I hope that you all are taking the time to to read them as well, to feel like you're not alone. There's other men out there that are, and I know that can feel like, oh, I'm not alone. You know, it's not even that, it's just this this feeling, this sense of oh, okay, like I guess I don't know, maybe you'll have a thought about that. It's like it is I'm not alone, but there's something more happening there. And so um, yeah, I'll leave it there for today. I'm wishing you so many blessings. Signing up for today, XOXO, Kate.
